Company Overview
Symbioun was launched in 2018 to provide the essential investments, business intelligence and contacts needed for Srilankan companies to develop and extend internationality. The goal of the Symbioun is to bring in community development through investment, knowledge share and co-existence. We exist to promote growth and sustainability for rural communities
The financing of Symbioun for small-scale businesses ranges from Organic Poultry, Small Grocery Shop, Pottery and will expand to agroforestry, seasonal cultivation and other cottage industries. With Symbioun, since January 2020, 10 small-scale businesses of 13 families with a total investment capital of LKR 411,000 have been initiated in two provinces of Srilanka.
We have managed to get businesses to achieve an average of 80 % of the profit target projected over a 6 month period. And we have achieved a success rate of more than 75% on businesses started with more than 8 businesses bringing monthly projected revenue levels. All projects in the Uva and Eastern Provinces of Srilanka are handled by a team of project manager and 2 coordinators of Symbioun.
Moreover, there are 12 projects to be launched by December 2020 to complete Symbioun’s milestone of launching 25 small-scale business projects with a total investment capital of LKR 750,000.
